- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 1/4 cup sake
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- Green onions (optional)
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Skewers, soaked if wooden
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar, garlic, and ginger. Simmer for 10–12 minutes until thickened.
- Thread chicken (and green onions if using) onto skewers.
- Grill over medium heat, turning every 2–3 minutes.
- Baste with sauce as it cooks until chicken is done and glazed.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve hot.
