  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp chili paste or chili oil
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp Szechuan peppercorns, crushed
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix chicken with cornstarch and 1 tbsp soy sauce. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare sauce with remaining soy sauce, vinegar, chili paste, brown sugar, and sesame oil.
  3. Heat oil in a wok and cook chicken until golden and crispy. Set aside.
  4. In the same wok, sauté garlic, ginger, and Szechuan peppercorns until fragrant.
  5. Add bell peppers and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
