Description

Great for meal prep, ramen bowls, or spicy snacks, these jammy eggs are marinated in chili garlic soy sauce for ultimate flavor.


Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp chili oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Sliced red chili (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil eggs for 7 minutes, then transfer to ice bath and chill.
  2. Peel eggs carefully once cooled.
  3. Mix soy sauce, vinegar, chili oil, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, and chili flakes.
  4. Place eggs in marinade and chill for 3+ hours or overnight.
  5. Slice eggs and garnish with sesame seeds, cilantro, and red chili slices.
  6. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use older eggs for easier peeling.
  • For stronger flavor, marinate overnight.
  • Chili oil with crisp adds great texture.
  • Marinade can be reused once if boiled first.
