- 4 bone-in chicken thighs
- 1 medium onion sliced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken skin-side down for 5–6 minutes per side until golden.
- Remove chicken and set aside. In the same pan sauté onion and garlic until soft.
- Mix soy sauce honey and vinegar in a bowl.
- Return chicken to skillet and pour sauce over the top.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 15–20 minutes until chicken is cooked and sauce thickens.
- Spoon sauce over chicken while cooking. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Use boneless chicken if preferred for quicker cooking.
- Add chili flakes for heat.
- If sauce thickens too much add water to loosen.
