- 1 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 2 tbsp butter (divided)
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley chopped
Instructions
- Cook elbow macaroni in salted water until al dente then drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan melt 1 tbsp butter and whisk in flour to make a roux.
- Slowly whisk in milk and cook until thickened then add shredded cheddar cheese and salt stirring until smooth.
- Season chicken tenders with pepper and salt then cook in a skillet with remaining butter until golden and cooked through.
- Add honey soy sauce garlic and more pepper to skillet and simmer until glaze thickens.
- Return chicken to pan and coat well in glaze.
- Serve chicken alongside or on top of mac and cheese and garnish with parsley.
