  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup ketchup (plus extra for glaze)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease your brain mold.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix thoroughly and press firmly into the brain mold, filling all crevices.
  4. Place the mold on a baking tray and bake for 45–55 minutes.
  5. Carefully invert the mold onto a tray and lift it off.
  6. Brush the meatloaf with a layer of ketchup for a glossy, gory glaze.
  7. Return to the oven for 10 minutes to set the glaze.
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
