- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
Instructions
- Cut salmon into cubes and season with oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Sear in a hot skillet for 2–3 minutes per side until crisp and cooked through. Set aside.
- Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour to make a roux.
- Gradually whisk in milk and simmer until smooth and thickened.
- Add cheddar cheese and Dijon mustard, stir until melted and seasoned.
- Plate salmon cubes and drizzle with cheddar sauce. Garnish with green onions and serve warm.
Notes
- Make sure pan is hot before adding salmon to get a crispy sear.
- Use fresh cheddar and whisk continuously for smooth sauce.
- Garnish with lemon wedges for added brightness.
