  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • Powdered sugar, for topping
  • Maple syrup, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cut bread into cubes and spread evenly in the dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugars, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Pour custard over bread, pressing to soak. Let sit 10–15 mins or overnight in fridge.
  5. Drizzle melted butter over top.
  6. Bake for 45–50 mins until golden and set in the center.
  7. Cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar and serve with syrup.
