  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chunks
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Beat butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time then mix in vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and chunks evenly.
  7. Scoop dough onto baking sheets spaced apart.
  8. Bake 9–11 minutes until edges are set but centers are soft.
  9. Cool 5 minutes on tray then transfer to a rack.

  • Chill dough for thicker cookies.
  • Press extra chips on top before baking for bakery-style look.
  • Use dark cocoa powder for richer flavor.
