Ingredients

  • 1 pound ziti pasta (uncooked)
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 pound ground beef or sausage
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the meat with garlic, salt, and pepper in a skillet, then drain.
  2. Mix ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, and some parmesan with seasoning in a bowl.
  3. Grease the crockpot and add a layer of marinara sauce.
  4. Layer half the uncooked ziti, cooked meat, more sauce, and spoonfuls of the ricotta mix.
  5. Repeat layers and top with remaining mozzarella and parmesan.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours until pasta is tender and cheese is melted.
  7. Let sit 10 minutes before serving.
