- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 1 pound ground beef or sausage
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown the meat with garlic, salt, and pepper in a skillet, then drain.
- Mix ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, and some parmesan with seasoning in a bowl.
- Grease the crockpot and add a layer of marinara sauce.
- Layer half the uncooked ziti, cooked meat, more sauce, and spoonfuls of the ricotta mix.
- Repeat layers and top with remaining mozzarella and parmesan.
- Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours until pasta is tender and cheese is melted.
- Let sit 10 minutes before serving.
