- 1 small onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- 2 tbsp butter for toasting buns
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown ground beef and onion over medium heat until beef is fully cooked. Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
- Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- In another skillet, melt butter and toast buns cut side down until golden.
- Spoon the meat mixture onto the bottom half of each bun. Top with the other half and serve hot.
