Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 1 tsp coconut oil or shortening

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F and line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and powdered sugar until smooth then mix in vanilla and salt.
  3. Gradually add flour and mix until dough forms.
  4. Press dough into pan evenly and bake for 30–35 minutes until golden on edges.
  5. Cool completely then slice into squares or rectangles.
  6. Melt chocolate and coconut oil in microwave in short bursts stirring until smooth.
  7. Dip each piece halfway into chocolate and place on parchment.
  8. Chill for 15 minutes to set the chocolate before serving.
