Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips evenly.
  7. Scoop dough onto baking sheet spacing them out.
  8. Bake for 9–11 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft.
  9. Cool for 5 minutes on the sheet then transfer to a cooling rack.

Notes

  • Chill dough for thicker cookies.
  • Press extra chocolate chips on top before baking.
  • Add sea salt flakes for a sweet-salty bite.
