Description

Perfect for quick lunches, casual dinners, or cozy weekend bites, this sandwich melts together creamy and crispy textures.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 1/2 cup cooked chicken (shredded or sliced)
  • 1/2 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  3. Layer cheese, chicken, avocado, salt and pepper on unbuttered side.
  4. Top with second bread slice, buttered side out.
  5. Toast in skillet 3–4 minutes per side until golden and melted.
  6. Rest 1–2 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Add tomato or bacon for variation.
  • Use pepper jack for a spicy twist.
  • Mash avocado with lime for extra flavor.
