- 2 slices sourdough bread
- 1/2 cup cooked chicken (shredded or sliced)
- 1/2 ripe avocado, sliced
- 2 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp butter
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Heat skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Layer cheese, chicken, avocado, salt and pepper on unbuttered side.
- Top with second bread slice, buttered side out.
- Toast in skillet 3–4 minutes per side until golden and melted.
- Rest 1–2 minutes before slicing and serving.

- Add tomato or bacon for variation.
- Use pepper jack for a spicy twist.
- Mash avocado with lime for extra flavor.
