Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Brown the breakfast sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks.
  2. Sprinkle flour over the cooked sausage and whisk to combine, cooking for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Slowly pour in the milk while whisking until smooth and thickened. Season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Grease a baking dish and pour the sausage gravy into it, spreading evenly.
  5. Cut biscuit dough into quarters and arrange on top of the gravy. Brush with melted butter.
  6. Bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes, until biscuits are golden and cooked through.
