Ingredients

  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add diced onion and garlic, cook until softened.
  4. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer 3–4 minutes.
  5. Cut biscuit dough in half and layer into a greased 9×13 dish.
  6. Spoon the beef mixture over the biscuits evenly.
  7. Whisk together egg, milk, and half the cheese. Pour over beef layer.
  8. Top with remaining shredded cheese.
  9. Bake for 25–30 minutes until biscuits are golden and cheese is bubbly.
  10. Cool slightly and top with green onions if desired. Serve warm.
