  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook penne in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until soft.
  3. Add sausage, cook until browned. Break into crumbles.
  4. Stir in marinara, cream, seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer 10 mins.
  5. Mix pasta with sauce and half of each cheese.
  6. Transfer to baking dish. Top with remaining cheese.
